  • PRODUCT REVIEW: Howard Products Cutting Board Oil

Last week us gals in the KI NASSAUER office played hooky and went vintage shopping in Orange, CA. (Stay tuned for a blog post on our shopping shenanigans February 3rd!) We found this cute vintage piggy bread board for $35, but he needed a little TLC. Here he is hiding in the shed.
We headed over to Home Depot and grabbed a bottle of Howard Products Cutting Board Oil. FYI, it's food grade mineral oil, which means it's colorless, odorless, tasteless and safe to use in the kitchen.
Here's a before shot of our sad little piggy.
We applied a generous amount of oil onto a clean rag, and rubbed in the direction of the wood grain. Don't be afraid of over-applying as the dry wood soaks it right up!
Here's our now "moisturized" happy piggy ready for entertaining...
or a night on the couch with a good mag (Flea Market Style) and American Idol on TV.
We give Howard Products Cutting Board Oil 2 thumbs up and would recommend to all!
