  • Vintage Shopping Trip to Urban Americana!

A few weeks back, we took a break on a Thursday to go vintage shopping and check out a new place we heard about. We headed to Long Beach, CA to Urban Americana. It's about 45 minutes from Los Angeles (when the traffic is light!) but it's definitely worth the drive. The owner, Chris Geer, clearly has a passion for vintage and is dedicated to creating a cool, fun, open and inspiring place to shop. He also just happens to be a super nice guy! Chris' 16,000 square foot Mid Century warehouse is located in the "newly rediscovered" Zaferia Design District. The high ceilings with many skylights create a natural light and airy vibe. It's not cluttered and there is space to move around and truly see the product. The collection of vendors at Urban Americana is fabulous. Among them are some of our friends, Christian and Dustin from Uber Chic, and Jennifer from Jennifer Price Studio at Solo. Along with the fab collection of vendors comes quality product and wonderful displays. Be prepared to spend some time here. Our short 2 hour trip wasn't enough to see everything. We did sneak some time however, to grab a bite with Jennifer Price and have the largest margarita's we've ever seen at a yummy Mexican place down the street- but we couldn't finish them as we were driving, of course!
Check out some of our finds below and happy junking!

Jealous! Jennifer Price and Uber Chic are 2 of my fave dealers—online, since I’m clear across the country.
